Mac OS 9 Manual Internet Connection Setup
Requirements
You will need the following information.
- Your login ID (user name) ex: (joeuser@nethere.net)
- Your password
Step 1 Configure TCP/IP
From the Apple menu choose Control Panels and then TCP/IP.
From connect via choose PPP
Enter 66.63.128.34 and 66.63.128.50 respectively
for the Namer Server addr:
For the Additional Search domains enter nethere.net
Close TCP/IP and save the changes.
Step 2 Configure Remote Access (RAS)
From the Apple menu > Control Panels > Remote Access.
Enter your NetHere username
and password along with the dialup number you were given.

Click options. (*Note if the
options button is not visible, go to the Edit menu and choose
User Mode. select Advanced and hit ok)
The Redial feature is optional. Click the Connection tab.
The only recommended check is Flash icon in menu bar. Click
Protocol.
Match the options below. Hit ok >
close Remote access.
Step 3 Check your modem
Lastly, make sure you have the correct modem selected. Go
to the Apple menu
> Control Panels > Modem. Be sure Tone dial is selected
and Ignore dial tone is NOT checked.
Thats all there is to it. When you start your favorite browser,
Remote Access will dial automatically.
