Windows 98 First Edition Internet Configuration
Requirements
You will need the following information.
- Your login ID (user name) ex: (joeuser@nethere.net)
- Your password
Double click on My Computer
in the top left of the screen (make sure to minimize/close
any Windows that obscure the background).
You should now see the Control Panel icon. Double click
on it
Locate the "Internet" icon and double click it.
You should now see the Internet Options dialogue box.
It defaults to the General tab (at the top of it).
Fill in the information as per the example below.
Click on the Connection tab, and enter the details
as per the example below. Make sure that Connect to the
Internet using a modem is chosen and double click on Settings.
Make sure that the NetHere connection is displayed
in the pull down tab at the top. If it is not, click on the
white tab and it will pull down and you can choose Nildram
from the list. Copy the settings as per below, replacing user
and password with the ones from your NetHere welcome
letter. Click on OK when you have finished. The box
will disappear. Click OK on the Internet Properties
and be sure to check Network Configuration for proper addaptors.
