Configure Mail for Mac OS X
Requirements
You will need the following information.
- Mail 1.2.5 (v552)
- Your (user name) ex: (jondoe)
- Your password
Double-click the Mail icon.
(Located in the Dock)
From the Mail menu, choose
Preferences.
Click the Add Account button.
Click the arrow box on the Account
Type pop-up list and choose POP Account.
In the Description field,
type your email address.
In the Email Adress field,
type your email address.
In the Full Name field, type
your name.
In the Host name field, type
the incoming mail (POP) server for your domain
(i.e. pop3.nethere.net for @nethere.com customers).
In the User name field, type
your username.
In the Password field, type
your password.
In the SMTP Host field, type
the outgoing (SMTP) server for your domain
(i.e. mail.nethere.net for @nethere.com customers).
Click on the Advanced tab. Check all three boxes.
click OK and you are finished.
